- Jesus: The Maker of a Better Will (vv. 15-17)
No more death—Jesus’ death was once-for-all (v. 26)
The class of heirs is much greater—anyone can join (v. 28)
The inheritance is a lasting one—not temporary
- Jesus: The Spiller of Better Blood (vv. 18-28)
Jesus had to spill his blood because without the
shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins (v. 22)
Jesus’ death dealt with sin once for all (vv. 25-26)
Having conquered death, Jesus’ return will bring
us home to community with himself (vv. 27-28)
