Reason One
The healing miracle of the lame man was a “sign” pointing to the inauguration of the kingdom of God.
(Cf. Acts 3:8-10 with Isaiah 35:5-6)

Reason Two
The coming of Jesus means the end of the Jerusalem Temple because its purpose is fulfilled in the risen Jesus Christ.
